Water bottle tray on the lower two windows were spray painted [dream:
gold metallic spray to represent: "roads paved with gold"
& reality sequence: silver metallic spray to represent "the
silver lining"]
each
label represents an imagery from one of the thirty more interviews made
with a diverse group of immigrants. the immigrant interivew brochure/booklet
can be previewed at the visitor centre at the Lower East Side Tenement
Museum
the bottles
were taken from the recycled bins [location will not be revealed]
the upper
two windows are filled with FULL 3 gallon water bottles, which took
heavy lifting to install
some
bottles are leaking, hopefully the musuem doesn't know that
the bottom
two windows are lit via two ceiling fluorescent panels with four cathode
tubes of light, that works kind of like a light box
the top
two windows are back-lit to have a kind of "ice-cubed" glowing
effect [as Bob would put it]
